No, not the World Wide Web but World Wide Worries. One could easily argue the Web to be a synonym for Worries. A farting politician anywhere in the world will be heart all over the world only a few minutes after the event. In order to prevent “overloading”, you are forced to be constantly busy filtering the data relayed to you. The amount of information remains huge and absorbs so much time and energy to consume, that no energy or time is left over to really analyse a certain event in depth. This leads to globalisation in the real sense of the word: you know very little about a lot. This however is hardly a reason for people to keep their mouth shut, but still they want everybody to hear their opinion. All this is building up to a generalisation of the world into an unimaginable heap of crap.
Safe your soul and don’t worry: change will come no matter what you do. Trust The Lord.
Important this week: I managed to file my tax return for 2013.
